Privacy Policy

Who we are
On-Demand Glaziers provides emergency and planned glazing services, including boarding up, glass repair and glass replacement. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We act as the data controller for the information described here.
Information we collect
- Details you give us — your name, phone number, email address, job address and any photos or descriptions of the damage you send us by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- Job and payment records — quotes issued, work carried out, invoices and correspondence. Card payments are handled by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring page and approximate location, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Call data — the number you dialled, call time and duration, collected by our call tracking provider so we can see which adverts and pages generate enquiries.
How we use your information
- To quote for work, dispatch a glazier and complete the job you asked for.
- To contact you about your enquiry, arrival times, follow-up visits and invoices.
- To keep records for accounting, insurance, warranty and dispute-resolution purposes.
- To measure how our website and advertising perform, and to improve both.
- To comply with our legal obligations.
We rely on performance of a contract (or steps leading to one) for work you instruct, our legitimate interests for service improvement and fraud prevention, your consent for non-essential cookies and marketing messages, and legal obligation where the law requires us to keep records.
Cookies and tracking
We use essential cookies to make the site work, and analytics and advertising tools — including Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, StatCounter and a call tracking script that swaps the phone number shown on the page — to understand where enquiries come from. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit, and you can clear or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site behave.
Who we share it with
We share information only where it is needed: with the glazier or approved subcontractor attending your job, with suppliers cutting or sourcing glass for you, with our analytics, call tracking, hosting and messaging providers, with our accountants and insurers, and with authorities or insurers where we are legally required or where you have asked us to support a claim. We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on approved safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement, to protect your information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are normally deleted within 12 months. Job, invoice and warranty records are kept for at least six years to meet tax, insurance and guarantee obligations. Analytics data is kept for the retention period set by the relevant provider.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, withdraw consent for marketing or non-essential cookies, and ask us to transfer your data to another provider. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, and limit access to staff and partners who need it to do their job. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
